Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hertz Tatz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Challenger!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatz doesn't manage to clinch there - Challenger circles away.
Tatz swings for the body but Challenger moves out of range.
Tatz throws a right hand that Challenger ducks under and follows up with a left that Challenger also avoids with ease.
Challenger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tatz as he jumps to the side.
Challenger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Tatz blocks a head kick by Challenger.
Challenger uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tatz.

Challenger closes the distance and clinches.
A bit of stalling here from Challenger.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Challenger is on top in guard.

Challenger stands and steps away. Tatz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tatz throws a right and a left that Challenger avoids nicely.
Tatz looks to land a left hand but Challenger moved out of range nicely.

Nice takedown defense from Tatz. No joy for Challenger on that attempt.

and Challenger counters by moving into the clinch.
The referee calls for Challenger to work.
Challenger tries for a takedown but Tatz manages to get underhooks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tatz tries to lock up and control but Challenger gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Challenger content just to control the position here.

Challenger throwing strikes here but Tatz is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Challenger takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Challenger shoots in for a takedown but Tatz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tatz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Challenger manages to get himself to full guard.

Challenger keeping moving, preventing Tatz from controlling successfully.
Tatz passes Challenger's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Challenger throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Challenger is staying active underneath Tatz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Challenger wants to control but Tatz is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tatz wants to stand up but Challenger is controlling the position.
Tatz is looking to take a break and control but Challenger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tatz wants to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tatz tries to clinch there but Challenger circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tatz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Challenger's sensitive parts.

Tatz lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tatz lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tatz jabs Challenger right on the nose. Challenger blinks but takes it well.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hertz Tatz showed his dominance in that final round.
