Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kent Brockman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armen Tanzarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Tanzarian's choice of entrance music: Steve Winwood - Higher Love. Armen Tanzarian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanzarian scores with a jab to the body.
Tanzarian throws a head kick but Brockman moves out of range.

Brockman blocks a head kick by Tanzarian.
Tanzarian takes one to the chin there.
Brockman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tanzarian swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brockman shoots in but no luck this time.

Tanzarian cracks a nice hook into Brockman's ribs.

Tanzarian scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tanzarian creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brockman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Tanzarian seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brockman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tanzarian not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Tanzarian working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Brockman wants to control but Tanzarian is keeping busy.
Tanzarian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brockman's head.
Tanzarian takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Brockman is pressing down on Tanzarian's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tanzarian would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Brockman is looking to stand up but Tanzarian isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Brockman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tanzarian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Brockman stands up from Tanzarian's guard - Brockman perhaps looking for a knockout.

Tanzarian closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Tanzarian uses his free foot to push down on Brockman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brockman.
A big strike lands for Tanzarian! That's really hurt Brockman and he's turned his back - Tanzarian keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tanzarian Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
