The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palace gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Palace drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Palace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Palace looking to pass the guard.
Palace is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ibarra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Palace is aware though and is defending well.
Palace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Palace tries to stand but Ibarra is controlling from the bottom.
Ibarra looking to control.
Palace pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ibarra is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palace is looking to work some ground and pound but Ibarra has wrist control.

Palace throwing strikes from guard but Ibarra blocks nicely.
Palace would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ibarra with a poor takedown
so Palace counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ibarra looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ibarra not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ibarra can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palace controls the pace.
Palace is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Palace trying to control but Ibarra is working from the bottom.
Ibarra has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Palace should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Ibarra has tightened it up now! Palace should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
