Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, koln poir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, KJ Noons! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! poir misses with an uppercut. Noons saw that one coming. poir just misses with a punch to the body.
poir keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Noons closes the distance and clinches up with poir, looking for a takedown. Noons pushes poir against the cage but poir circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Noons shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. poir looking for submissions off his back. poir looking for submissions off his back. poir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Noons is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck for Noons with that takedown attempt. koln poir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KJ Noons. Noons shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in poir's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noons with a flurry of punches that miss. Noons is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. poir looking for a guillotine here but Noons defends easily.

Noons manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Noons trying to control the position from guard on top but poir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Noons wants to stand but poir is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noons trying to control but poir is working from the bottom. Noons thows a big elbow that misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. poir doesn't manage to clinch there - Noons circles away.
Noons closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. poir did well to prevent Noons getting side control. Noons is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. poir actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. poir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. poir is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Noons pulls his head out easily. poir avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Noons. Noons controlling the action here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Noons. poir tries to land a front kick but Noons steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. poir defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Noons. Noons shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as poir sprawls well. poir wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Noons gets slowly back to his feet. koln poir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of KJ Noons. poir misses with a takedown and Noons counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. poir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Noons lands strikes from half guard. Noons seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. poir makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noons tries to score a power double leg takedown but poir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Noons somewhat. Noons shoots in but poir avoids the takedown attempt easily. Noons has his takedown stuffed and poir moves into the clinch. Noons wants a takedown but no success here.
poir tries to land knees in the clinch but Noons avoids the damage to the body. poir is trying to maintain a safe position but Noons gets an underhook and turns poir into the cage. poir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. poir throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
poir has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. poir breaks from the clinch.
Noons slips a jab and a cross from poir.
Noons fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. poir throws a nice looking combination but Noons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. poir throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Noons drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. poir looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. poir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noons's guard. poir tries to stand but Noons is controlling from the bottom. poir drops back looking for a leg! Noons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Noons manages to kick poir off! poir jumps back into Noons's guard. poir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Noons has his hands on poir's head, controlling the position. Noons keeping full guard, as poir tries to pass. Noons not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A close second round but KJ Noons will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Noons keeping moving, preventing poir from controlling successfully. poir wanted to stand there but Noons had control of the position. poir postures up in Noons's guard and throws a big left but Noons blocks it.

Noons stops poir from standing up. poir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Noons gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Noons must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. poir has his foot on Noons's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Noons works his way back into a safe position though.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. poir fails to land with a series of punches.
koln poir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! KJ Noons is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. poir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Noons manages to avoid it. Noons shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to koln poir. I think Noons has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
