Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from monsoon does no damage.
Martello closes this distance looking for a takedown but monsoon circles away.
monsoon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Martello sprawls well initially but monsoon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ground and pound from monsoon.
monsoon is thwarting Martello's attempts to control the position.
monsoon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Martello has managed to free his arm - good work.
monsoon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
monsoon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martello's head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
monsoon feints and as Martello raises his hands in defense, monsoon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Martello can't keep his opponent in guard - monsoon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
monsoon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Martello wants to control but monsoon is keeping busy.
Martello manages to get to full guard.
Martello looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Martello working for a triangle but monsoon defends it easily.
Martello working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. monsoon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. monsoon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Martello had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. monsoon defends it easily.
monsoon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
monsoon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

monsoon drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. monsoon seems to have locked his on tight now - Martello screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for monsoon, as he picks up the win!
