Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asim Rahaminamusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMarcus Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston shoots in looking for a takedown. Rahaminamusa tries to sprawl out of it but Kingston keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rahaminamusa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kingston gets the takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Kingston are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
You can see the frustration on Rahaminamusa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kingston tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kingston misses with a takedown attempt - Rahaminamusa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Rahaminamusa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kingston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Rahaminamusa wants to control but Kingston is keeping him busy.
Kingston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rahaminamusa is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rahaminamusa is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kingston to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kingston shrugs it off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kingston gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Rahaminamusa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kingston's guard now.
DeMarcus Kingston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Asim Rahaminamusa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DeMarcus Kingston.
