Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Snaps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Standa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Standa will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Snaps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Standa!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Standa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Standa wants to clinch.

Snaps shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Standa tries to roll over but Snaps keeps him under control.
Well, if Snaps is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Snaps might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Standa moves in looking to clinch but Snaps pushes him off.
Standa tries to close the distance and clinch but Snaps swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Standa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Snaps is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Snaps stalling away here and it's allowed Standa to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Snaps moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Standa misses the shot to the body.
Snaps lands a nice looking body shot.
Snaps will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Snaps is pushing down on Standa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Standa is fighting to maintain full guard but Snaps has managed to sneak the leg through.
