Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Fortune Cookie! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miller blocks a jab. Miller tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cookie swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller. Miller ducks under a wild hook from Cookie. Miller throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cookie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Cookie avoids the head kick by Miller.
Miller is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Miller is looking to clinch but Cookie is avoiding it.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cookie swats him away and circles back towards the center. Cookie swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller. Miller scoring well with a low kick there.
Miller throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cookie's head. Cookie throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily. Miller rushes Cookie and presses him up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Miller scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Fortune Cookie has been cut. Cookie throws a punch but it's blocked by Miller. Miller with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Miller misses with a knee to the head. Cookie wants to get back to striking at distance but Miller won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cookie is trying to maintain a safe position but Miller gets an underhook and turns Cookie into the cage. Miller throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Miller lands an elbow inside. Miller using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cookie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Miller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cookie.

Miller letting Cookie take a breather here. Cookie lands a nice uppercut. Cookie lands a right hand that snaps the head of Miller backwards. Cookie is looking to control Miller's arms but Miller gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cookie has his back to the cage. Miller tries a knee to the head but Cookie blocks it.

Cookie lands a shoulder strike. Cookie managing to block the knees to the body from Miller.

Miller is breathing heavily. Miller is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Miller tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Cookie gets through Miller's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Cookie managing to block the knees to the body from Miller.

Cookie's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Miller misses with a knee to the head. Cookie slowing the pace effectively. A battle for position here, against the cage. Miller tries a knee to the head but Cookie blocks it.

Those have got to be taking their toll on Miller's gas tank. Cookie is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cookie lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Miller is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A short right from Cookie. Cookie lands on the inside with an uppercut. Cookie lands with a short punch from the clinch.
The referee calls for Cookie to work.

Miller pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cookie stalling in the clinch but Miller improves position. Cookie pressing his opponent against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Fortune Cookie. Miller walks into a jab. Cookie lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Miller is rocked! Cookie changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Oh Miller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Crack! Cookie connects with the perfect overhand right and Miller falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Cookie!
