Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rampage Robson!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robson wants to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loach closes the distance looking to clinch
and Robson counters with a head kick. That will keep Loach thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Robson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robson wants to clinch
enabling Loach to counter with a crisp jab.

Loach fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Robson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Loach tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Robson avoids it.

Loach gets through Robson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Loach will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Robson up against the cage.

Loach has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Robson regains guard immediately.
Loach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That was a close round but I would say that Clown Loach will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Loach takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Robson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Loach!
Robson is landing with some decent strikes but Loach is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Robson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Loach is on top in guard.
Loach keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Robson's head.

Robson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Loach's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Loach wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Robson wants to pass the guard but Loach is keeping the position.

Loach might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Loach tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clown Loach dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Robson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Robson scoring well with a low kick there.
Robson closes the distance but Loach moves to the side
and Loach counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Loach wants to clinch.
Loach clinches but Robson breaks the clinch

and Robson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rampage Robson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Loach is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Loach stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Loach fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Robson, pushing him back against the cage.

Loach stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Loach, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
