The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as McNulty checks a leg kick. McNulty looks to land a combination but Jarryd avoids it well. Jarryd fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McNulty checks it well. McNulty lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
McNulty pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Jarryd tries to clinch up. McNulty tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jarryd holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jarryd slips a jab and a cross from McNulty.
McNulty throws a chopping leg kick but Jarryd manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Jarryd shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jarryd showed some decent athleticism there. Jarryd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McNulty is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jarryd tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. McNulty struggling a bit here. McNulty is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Jarryd is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McNulty has escaped the position, nice work there. Jarryd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jarryd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jarryd working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McNulty gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jarryd frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jarryd trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Jarryd is landing with some decent strikes but McNulty is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jarryd trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jarryd avoids the attempt from McNulty to control. Jarryd prevents McNulty from getting the reversal. McNulty is squirming around, avoiding Jarryd's attempts to control the action. Jarryd prevents McNulty from getting the reversal. Jarryd has isolated one of McNulty's arms. McNulty looking to fight him off but Jarryd twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap??
