Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Shurygalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shurygalo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ching Chang Cong-Rucka Rucka Ali. Shurygalo is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Nolan Shurygalo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Dean! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shurygalo misses with a few strikes there.
Shurygalo is breathing heavily. Dean has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dean has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Shurygalo is trying to keep an underhook but Dean manages to get the takedown into half guard. Dean seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shurygalo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Dean. Dean missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Shurygalo is refusing to be controlled, as Dean sits in half guard. Dean thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dean seems to be working for a kimura but Shurygalo defends the submission attempt. Dean throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Shurygalo is staying active underneath Dean, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dean scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dean looking for a takedown. Dean tries to score a body lock takedown but Shurygalo shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shurygalo is pressed up against the cage. Dean has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shurygalo down to the mat. Shurygalo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dean gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dean is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. A knee to the head by Shurygalo.

Kyle Dean dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dean shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dean showed some decent athleticism there. Shurygalo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dean is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Dean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dean seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shurygalo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dean is working away from the top position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dean prevents Shurygalo from improving his position. Dean throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dean thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shurygalo's head.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dean moves into range and clinches up with Shurygalo. Shurygalo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dean blocks it with crossed arms. Dean has hold of one of Shurygalo's legs. Shurygalo is fighting the takedown attempt but Dean gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Dean throws and elbow that misses. Shurygalo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dean's guard. Nice move by Shurygalo!

Kyle Dean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Shurygalo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shurygalo wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shurygalo is really struggling to control Dean but he's trying to hold on to the position. Shurygalo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dean is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shurygalo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dean has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shurygalo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dean changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shurygalo fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Shurygalo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Dean must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shurygalo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dean! Shurygalo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nolan Shurygalo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shurygalo lands a nice shot to the head. Dean is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight! Kyle Dean comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dean winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
