Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Risto Ryhti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joh Gr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joh Gr is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Risto Ryhti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joh Gr! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryhti shoots for a takedown but Gr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gr throws a right and a left that both miss. Gr misses with a double jab.
Ryhti fails to land the takedown. Ryhti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ryhti is controlling him. Ryhti slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ryhti stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ryhti shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Risto Ryhti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryhti tries to clinch up. No luck for Ryhti with that takedown attempt. Gr lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryhti tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gr blocks a head kick by Ryhti.

Ryhti looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gr is fending him off so far but Ryhti persists. Nope, Gr circles away and we're back to standing. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gr. Ryhti shrugs it off though. Ryhti is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by Ryhti or perhaps it was just good defense by Gr which made him look bad. Gr scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Nice shot lands for Gr. Ryhti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A head kick lands from Gr that sends Ryhti to the canvas. Ryhti tries to scramble back to his feet but Gr brings him back down into side control.
Ryhti is rocked!
It looks like Risto Ryhti has been cut. Ryhti tries to improve position but can't. Gr stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Gr lands a lovely overhand right. Ryhti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Risto Ryhti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ryhti takes one on the button. Ryhti scores with a takedown into Gr's guard. Ryhti trying to control but Gr is working from the bottom. Gr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gr has momentary wrist control but Ryhti slips an elbow through the middle. Ryhti is in close to Gr's body, working some short punches and elbows. Ryhti won't allow Gr to get back to his feet. Ryhti sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gr's guard. Ryhti seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ryhti landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ryhti is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ryhti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gr keeps working. Gr wants to improve his position but Ryhti is controlling well.
Ryhti is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! BOOM! Ryhti connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Gr wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryhti looking to control but Gr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gr wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Ryhti controlling from mount. Gr wants to get back to his feet.
Gr is bucking up trying to escape but Ryhti cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gr's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Gr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ryhti has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gr's face.
Gr is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ryhti looking to control but Gr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Risto Ryhti will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Risto Ryhti's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A punch combination from Gr misses. Gr misses with a two punch combination.
Ryhti tries to clinch but Gr is having none of it. Ryhti closes the distance and clinches up with Gr, looking for a takedown. Ryhti pushes Gr against the cage but Gr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ryhti will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Risto Ryhti is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ryhti shoots for a takedown but Gr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Risto Ryhti. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gr goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ryhti gets a takedown into half guard. Gr blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ryhti. Gr wants to improve his position but Ryhti is controlling well.
Gr has one foot on Ryhti's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Ryhti looks to throw a body kick and Gr counters with a head kick. That will keep Ryhti thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Gr scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gr throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ryhti.

Gr scores with a kick to the midsection. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ryhti. Gr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ryhti shoots for a takedown but Gr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gr wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ryhti shoots in and bounces Gr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ryhti slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ryhti gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryhti shoots in but Gr avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ryhti gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ryhti has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gr is trying to keep an underhook but Ryhti manages to get the takedown into half guard. Gr is trying to stand.
Ryhti content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Ryhti lands strikes from half guard. Ryhti lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ryhti works his way into full mount! Gr takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryhti scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Gr's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Ryhti fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gr really wants to buck Ryhti off and get back to his feet. Gr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ryhti takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The referee warns Gr that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryhti breaks from Gr's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ryhti pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Gr is trying to stand. Ryhti landing strikes from the mount. Gr takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Gr taking shots to the head. Gr is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Gr is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gr tries to buck Ryhti off but he can't manage it. Ryhti looking to control but Gr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gr trying desperately to get to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ryhti thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Ryhti looking to control and managing it successfully. Ryhti breaks from Gr's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Risto Ryhti dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Risto Ryhti's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ryhti closes the distance looking for a takedown. Ryhti picks Gr up and slams him brutally to the floor. Gr is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
