The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong tries to clinch but Khan moves out of range.
Khan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Khan misses with a few strikes there.
Khan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
No joy there for Khan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Giant Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Khan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Khan wants it to stay on the feet.
Khan scores with a punch to the head.
Dong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A lazy left from Khan finds it's target.
Khan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dong circles away quickly and effectively.
Dong shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Khan lands a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Khan scores with a three punch combo!
Giant Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dong looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan thuds a left hand into Dong's body.
Khan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dong backs up against the cage.
It looks like Beeg Dong has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dong has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Khan is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Dong hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Giant Khan!
