Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miguelangel Jiminez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svensson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Emeth - Telesis. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguelangel Jiminez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Svensson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiminez stuffs the takedown.
Svensson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Svensson showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jiminez wants to get back to his feet.
Svensson is working for a kimura but Jiminez is defending it quite comfortably.
Svensson wants to work for an arm triangle but Jiminez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Svensson seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Jiminez has recovered full guard.
Svensson prevents Jiminez from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jiminez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Svensson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jiminez's waist but Jiminez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Svensson off to one side.
Miguelangel Jiminez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Svensson.

Jiminez throws a series of punches but Svensson avoids them all with ease.
Svensson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jiminez tries to avoid it but Svensson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jiminez to the ground. Jiminez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Svensson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jiminez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Jiminez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Svensson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jiminez gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Svensson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jiminez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jiminez lands a nice forearm strike.
Svensson is looking for a sweep.
Jiminez cracks Svensson with a big right hand but Svensson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Jiminez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Svensson for as long as he can get away with.
