Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Bags (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bags might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Princes of the Universe. Hanner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Slayed kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanner keeps the fight on the outside.
Bags's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bags duly obliges.
Hanner takes a shot to the body in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Some wild striking there from Bags.
Bags tries to close the distance and clinch but Hanner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bags fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hanner, pushing him back against the cage.
Hanner is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bags tries for a takedown but Hanner manages to get underhooks.
Bags wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hanner has him pressed against the cage.
Hanner tries to work over Bags's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bags looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bags working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hanner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hanner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hanner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bags looking for a sweep. Not yet Bags, not yet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hanner distracts Bags with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hanner drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bags manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hanner has Bags in his guard.
Hanner controls Bags momentarily but Bags frees himself.

Bags stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hanner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hanner is on top in guard.
Bags is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hanner's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bags is looking for a triangle but Hanner pushes his legs off easily.
Bags striking off his back but it's not causing Hanner any problems.

Hanner wants to control from the top but Bags keeps moving.

Hanner cracks Bags with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Joey Bags will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Hanner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bags thinking.
Hanner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Hanner shoots in and bounces Bags off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hanner is fighting to break Bags's control of his arms but Bags is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Hanner chips away with some ground and pound.
Hanner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
