Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaw has chosen Wrestling A Chair as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Terry Shaw was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Shaw! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw misses with a head kick.
This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Poe. Shaw misses the jab. Shaw drops his hands momentarily and Poe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Poe lands with an overhand left. Poe lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Shaw sprawling to the canvas. Poe follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Shaw hang on?
Shaw is rocked! Poe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Shaw knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Shaw is still in real trouble! Can Poe finish him? Shaw is trying to get back to full guard. Shaw seems to have recovered his senses. Shaw trying to control but Poe postures up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Shaw manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Shaw had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Poe is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Shaw Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Poe's back instead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shaw wants to control the position but Poe frees himself and scrambles - Shaw manages to regain control in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poe pushes Shaw away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shaw gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Shaw tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shaw swings around for an armbar but Poe sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Shaw's guard. Poe stopping the sweep attempt from Shaw. Poe pushing down on Shaw's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Shaw flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Poe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Shaw is staying active underneath Poe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Shaw is looking to improve his position.

Poe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shaw on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shaw keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Shaw throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Poe counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Poe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Poe jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

A left and a right from Poe both land. Nice combination. Poe is breathing heavily. Poe tries to clinch there but Shaw circles away.

Poe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Poe lands with a slapping head kick. Shaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Poe. Shaw throws a predictable looking body shot
and Poe counters with a nice leg kick. Poe slips under a jab from Shaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Poe rushes Shaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Shaw wants to get back to striking at distance but Poe won't allow it.
Shaw wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Poe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Shaw will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Shaw is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shaw lands a nice short elbow. Shaw wants to work for an arm triangle but Poe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Shaw stops Poe from getting back to his feet.
Shaw moves nicely into side control. Shaw is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Poe looks calm but he's in trouble here. Shaw gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Poe is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Shaw lets go of the hold and Poe can pop his arm back in it's socket.
