PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stonehouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McPhee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Loose yourself. Stonehouse has chosen Invaders Must Die as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan McPhee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Paul Stonehouse!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPhee tries to clinch up but Stonehouse circles away and keeps his distance.
McPhee shoots in for a takedown but Stonehouse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McPhee thows a left - swing and a miss!
Stonehouse slaps away a takedown attempt from McPhee, before circling back to the center of the mat.

McPhee gets in close and instigates a clinch.
McPhee drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Stonehouse tries to free his leg and advance position but McPhee is retaining full guard.
McPhee controls Stonehouse momentarily but Stonehouse frees himself.

McPhee has his foot on Stonehouse's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stonehouse works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Stonehouse got a little sloppy there for a moment and McPhee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stonehouse has managed to get both his arms back between McPhee's legs - danger averted.

McPhee lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stonehouse!

McPhee is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stonehouse can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McPhee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
