Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Snow Crash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roxanni Purnatori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Roxanni Purnatori enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Snow Crash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roxanni Purnatori!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crash thows a body shot but no joy.
Roxanni Purnatori seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crash ducks under a wild hook from Purnatori.
Crash keeps the fight on the outside.
Crash throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Purnatori sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Purnatori loads up on a big right hand but Crash slips the punch.
Purnatori shoots in for a takedown but Crash shows good takedown defense.
Purnatori tries to clinch there but Crash circles away.
Purnatori tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crash paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Crash closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Purnatori to the mat! Purnatori manages to get full guard.
Crash postures up and lands a big shot to Purnatori's brow.
Purnatori throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Crash won't allow Purnatori to get back to his feet.
Purnatori looking to control.

Crash thows a big elbow that misses.

Crash throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Crash knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Purnatori on the ground.
Crash postures up in Purnatori's guard and throws a big left but Purnatori blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Purnatori loads up on a big right hand but Crash slips the punch.
Purnatori throws an overhand right that lands on Crash's shoulder, as Crash tries to avoid the shot.
Purnatori tries to clinch up.
Purnatori gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Crash counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Crash shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Purnatori manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Purnatori is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Purnatori has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Purnatori throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Purnatori can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crash controls the pace.
Crash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Purnatori works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Purnatori can do anything to dispel that myth.

Crash not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Crash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Crash connects with a couple of short punches.
Crash throws a strike but Purnatori rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Purnatori accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Crash throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Purnatori was covering up waiting for the punch and Crash finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Purnatori utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Purnatori scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Crash tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Purnatori wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Check out the look on Purnatori's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Snow Crash showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Crash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
