Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Black Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shepherd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celion Dion kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Black Hammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Shepherd! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Shepherd looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hammer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hammer misses with an uppercut. Hammer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Shepherd throws a head kick that misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Hammer. Shepherd does a little dance to reset his feet. Shepherd is looking to land body kicks. Hammer moves out of range of the body kick. Shepherd thows a body kick. Hammer tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hammer throws a body kick the misses and Shepherd counters with a good low kick that Hammer was not able to check. Hammer tries to score with a low kick but Shepherd moves his leg out of the way. Shepherd is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hammer avoids the head kick by Shepherd.
Hammer staying out of range there. Shepherd lands with a kick to the temple. Hammer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammer cracks Shepherd with a right hand to the side of the head. Hammer throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Shepherd. No joy there for Shepherd, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shepherd is looking to clinch. Shepherd throws a leg kick and Hammer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Hammer checks a leg kick nicely. Shepherd checks the leg kick nicely there.
Shepherd tries to clinch and Hammer counters with an inside leg kick. A clash of legs there as Shepherd blocks the low kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Hammer.
Jack Shepherd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shepherd napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hammer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammer working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammer is looking to take a break and control but Shepherd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shepherd regains half guard there - taking advantage of Hammer's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Shepherd wants to improve his position but Hammer is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hammer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shepherd.
Hammer finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hammer is looking to chop away at Shepherd's legs. Shepherd tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A kick lands to the mid section there for Shepherd. Shepherd looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hammer.
Hammer cracks the inside of Shepherd's front leg. Hammer attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hammer misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Shepherd counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hammer throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Shepherd counters with a head kick. That will keep Hammer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shepherd throws a leg kick and Hammer counters with a nice double leg into guard. Shepherd has his hands on Hammer's head, controlling the position. Shepherd looking for a sweep. Not yet Shepherd, not yet. Hammer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hammer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammer trying to control the position from guard on top but Shepherd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammer scoring with punches to the head and body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Shepherd will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shepherd is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shepherd takes a swing at Hammer's ribcage but misses. Shepherd throws a leg kick that is checked and Hammer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Shepherd tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range. Shepherd throws a shot from downtown. Hammer moves away and avoids it. Shepherd moves out of range as Hammer throws a body kick.
Shepherd slaps away a takedown attempt from Hammer, before circling back to the center of the mat. A head kick misses from Hammer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shepherd pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Shepherd is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hammer. Hammer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shepherd's calf.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Shepherd misses and Hammer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hammer working the head and body with strikes. Shepherd tries to get to full guard but Hammer has control of the leg. Hammer drops an elbow to the side of Shepherd's head. Shepherd is looking to improve his position.
Shepherd keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Shepherd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hammer wants to control but Shepherd is keeping him busy. Hammer is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shepherd fails with an attempt to clinch.
Some bone on bone action there as Hammer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Hammer scores a takedown into full mount! A nice elbow there by Hammer. Hammer sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Hammer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hammer lands with some strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shepherd is bucking up trying to escape but Hammer cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammer with a couple of short strikes. Shepherd is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Shepherd tries to reverse the position but Hammer maintains control. Shepherd is in a horrible position here. Hammer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Shepherd tries to lock up and control but Hammer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hammer trying to control but he's not successful this time. Shepherd is trying desperately to improve position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shepherd can do anything to dispel that myth. Hammer unloading with bombs!
Shepherd is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammer cracks Shepherd with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
