Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dylan Fernandoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brand Pound!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fernandoot rushes Pound and presses him up against the cage.
Fernandoot stops a takedown attempt from Pound.

Fernandoot manages to break the clinch.

Pound feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Pound is looking to work some ground and pound but Fernandoot has wrist control.
Pound thows a big elbow that misses.
Pound stands up over Fernandoot, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Fernandoot is trying to keep Pound in close.
Pound postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Pound wants to control from the top but Fernandoot keeps moving.
Fernandoot is trying to control the position but Pound postures up.
Pound throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fernandoot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fernandoot tries to clinch up but Pound circles away and keeps his distance.

Pound shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fernandoot's guard.
Pound keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fernandoot's head.
Fernandoot lands some strikes from the bottom.
Pound makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernandoot wants to stand up but Pound is controlling him.
Fernandoot trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Fernandoot looking for a sweep. Not yet Fernandoot, not yet.
Fernandoot trying to control the position.
Fernandoot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fernandoot tries to get out of the position.
Pound chips away with some ground and pound.
Fernandoot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fernandoot has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pound looks gassed!
Fernandoot wants to control the pace but Pound is squirming around nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fernandoot blocks Pound's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Pound punching to the body and holding on for dear life.
Fernandoot trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fernandoot lands a big shot there that rocks Pound but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pound flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Fernandoot connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fernandoot lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Pound is looking to improve his position but Fernandoot isn't that keen on the idea.

Fernandoot stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Pound shoots for a takedown but Fernandoot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dylan Fernandoot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brand Pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Pound feints and as Fernandoot raises his hands in defense, Pound changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Pound throws and elbow that misses. Fernandoot uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pound's guard. Nice move by Fernandoot!
Pound striking off his back but it's not causing Fernandoot any problems.
Fernandoot passes Pound's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fernandoot seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pound does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Pound missing with punches from the bottom.
Pound punching from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pound strikes from the bottom but Fernandoot passes into mount!
Fernandoot trying to control but Pound is having none of it.

Fernandoot is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Fernandoot!
