Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Marvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, King Marvin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Smith! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith tries to clinch up. King Marvin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marvin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Marvin. Marvin clinches up against the cage. Marvin can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.

Smith scores with a shoulder strike. Marvin misses with a short punch on the inside. Smith blocking some punches.
Marvin gets a trip takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith is looking to control Marvin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smith avoid being mounted? Smith keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Smith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Marvin. Marvin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Smith trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Marvin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Marvin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith is not content to let Marvin control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Smith tries to clinch but Marvin moves away and Marvin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Marvin is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marvin is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is trying to maintain the position but Marvin is very close to passing his half guard. Marvin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Smith is trying to control but can't.
Marvin works his way into side control. Marvin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marvin trying to control the position but Smith is working away. Smith wants to control but Marvin postures up. Marvin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Marvin throws a strike aimed at the side of Smith's head but Smith avoids it well. Smith is working to avoid the ground and pound but Marvin connects with a decent elbow. Smith parries the strikes from Marvin easily there. Marvin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Smith to escape.
Marvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Smith is not content to let Marvin control the position. Marvin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Smith is not content to let Marvin control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
King Marvin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Smith wants to clinch and Marvin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marvin counters with a takedown into side control. Marvin landing strikes. Smith is looking for a sweep. Marvin working the ground and pound from side control. Marvin working the strikes but Smith uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Marvin not landing any meaningful shots this time. Marvin trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marvin wants to pass the guard but Smith is defending well. Smith is trying to stand up here but Marvin is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marvin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Marvin works his foot free and advances to mount. Marvin with good strikes from the mount here! Marvin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Smith looks a forlorn figure.

Smith is desperately trying to improve his position but Marvin has a good base and remains in mount. Marvin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Smith can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Marvin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Smith has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Smith! Marvin controls Smith momentarily but Smith frees himself. Marvin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marvin pulls Smith in close to his closed guard and prevents Smith from doing any damage or advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Marvin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Marvin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Marvin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Marvin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though. Smith is trying to get back to full guard. Marvin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith is not content to let Marvin control the position. Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smith keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Marvin wants to free his trapped foot but Smith is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Good shot there by Marvin. Smith tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Marvin counters by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Marvin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Smith lands a nice uppercut. Marvin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Marvin lands with a light punch inside. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marvin. Marvin pushes Smith back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Marvin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Marvin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards. Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Marvin. Marvin lands a left hand.
Smith works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Marvin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Marvin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. Marvin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marvin trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marvin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Marvin clinches up against the cage. Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Marvin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Marvin tries for a takedown but Smith manages to get underhooks.
Marvin lands a shot to the body. Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A short right from Marvin on the inside. Marvin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Marvin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smith pulls him back up using the underhooks. Smith breaks the clinch.
Smith tries to clinch up and Marvin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Marvin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smith's head backwards. Marvin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage. Marvin misses with the head strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith. Smith throws a head punch that misses. Jack Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Smith swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Marvin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Marvin really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Smith.
And that's the end of the fight! King Marvin showed his dominance in that final round. Well Marvin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
