PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reece Ferrer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rhiver Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferrer comes into the arena with Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Reece Ferrer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rhiver Perez! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferrer scores with a jab to the body. Perez shoots in but Ferrer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Perez throws a nice looking combination but Ferrer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perez is defended easily by Ferrer. Ferrer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ferrer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Perez shoots in for a double leg but Ferrer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Reece Ferrer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rhiver Perez. Ferrer scores with a three punch combo!
Perez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ferrer tries to kick Perez off but Perez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Perez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ferrer pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.
Perez decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Ferrer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Perez scores a takedown into full mount! Ferrer is trying to stand up. Perez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Perez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Perez cracks Ferrer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Perez with good strikes from the mount here! Ferrer is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Perez connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ferrer is breathing heavily. Ferrer taking shots to the head.
Ferrer is rocked! Perez postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Ferrer in real trouble here! The ref calls for Ferrer to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
