Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Laraque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Robertson comes to the cage accompanied by Frontline by Pillar. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, William Robertson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laraque closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Robertson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Laraque asserts his dominance and retains side control. Laraque tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Robertson tries to improve position but can't. Laraque fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Robertson is trying to control Laraque's posture but Laraque avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laraque working the ground and pound but Robertson is defending the strikes. Robertson is trying to get back to his feet. Laraque scores with punches from side control. Laraque throws a strike aimed at the side of Robertson's head but Robertson avoids it well. Robertson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Laraque off and has taken his back! Robertson has good solid back control here. Laraque trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Laraque has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Robertson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Robertson tries to get out of the position. Laraque throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Robertson wants to stand and escape but Laraque is having none of it. Robertson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Robertson wants to stand up but Laraque is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Robertson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laraque to score an easy takedown into full guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Laraque throwing strikes but missing. Robertson pushes Laraque off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Robertson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Laraque is on top in guard.

Laraque looks gassed! Robertson stays in close to Laraque's body and controls the position. Robertson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Laraque for as long as he can get away with. Laraque looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robertson is one step ahead there. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Robertson advances position into side control! Laraque is trying to improve his position. Robertson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Robertson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Robertson controls the position. Laraque tries to buck Robertson off but Robertson is having none of it. Robertson just content to control the position.
The referee stands the fighters back up. William Robertson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Robertson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Laraque manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William Robertson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The referee takes a look at Robertson to see if he's OK. Robertson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Laraque. Laraque working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The strikes coming from Laraque are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Robertson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Laraque off and has taken his back! A bit of a pause in the action here. Robertson controlling the positon. Robertson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Laraque is breathing heavily.

Laraque stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Robertson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Laraque manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Robertson controlling from the top position. Laraque keeping full guard, as Robertson tries to pass. Laraque trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Robertson won't allow Laraque to sweep him here. Robertson tries to free his leg and advance position but Laraque is retaining full guard. Robertson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice takedown defense from Robertson. No joy for Laraque on that attempt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Robertson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Laraque counters with a nice double leg into side control. Robertson won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Laraque misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Robertson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Laraque's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Robertson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Laraque working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Laraque throwing strikes but missing. Robertson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Robertson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Laraque tries to get to full guard but Robertson has control of the leg.
And that's the end of the fight! Georges Laraque comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Laraque has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
