Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between MARTIN BRYANT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jeff Nelson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, MARTIN BRYANT! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Nelson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson throws a low kick but BRYANT avoids it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! BRYANT darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Nelson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. BRYANT is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nelson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time BRYANT. Nelson trying to hold on to BRYANT's head to control him but BRYANT postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. BRYANT is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nelson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Nelson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. BRYANT is working away from the top position though. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. BRYANT connects with a nice short shot to Nelson's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. BRYANT seems to be working for a kimura but Nelson defends the submission attempt. Nelson is looking to improve his position.

BRYANT passes the guard and advances to mount! BRYANT scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Nelson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson looking to pass the guard. BRYANT on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if BRYANT tries to get out of the position. Nelson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of BRYANT's head. Nelson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed BRYANT's guard. BRYANT actively working from the bottom here. BRYANT is breathing heavily. Nelson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. BRYANT doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nelson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
MARTIN BRYANT dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nelson is looking to clinch but BRYANT is avoiding it.
Nelson throws a nice looking combination but BRYANT bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. BRYANT shoots in and bounces Nelson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nelson keeping full guard, as BRYANT tries to pass. Nelson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. BRYANT tries to get to full guard but Nelson has control of the leg. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nelson working over BRYANT with some ground and pound. BRYANT looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nelson prevents BRYANT from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nelson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nelson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. BRYANT is trying to get back to full guard. Nelson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed BRYANT's head. Nelson wants to free his trapped foot but BRYANT is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nelson not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson is nestled in close to BRYANT, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Nelson is trying to control the action in half guard but BRYANT is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nelson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Nelson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
BRYANT tries to roll over but Nelson keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. BRYANT is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Nelson pulls his head out easily. Nelson drops an elbow to the side of BRYANT's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nelson is just content to waste time from the top position. BRYANT takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. BRYANT looking for a guillotine here but Nelson defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeff Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Nelson throws a right hand that BRYANT ducks under and follows up with a left that BRYANT also avoids with ease. Nelson throws a series of punches but BRYANT moves out of range. Nelson tries to clinch up. BRYANT throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing BRYANT off to one side. Nelson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so BRYANT counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. BRYANT knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground. Nelson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. BRYANT is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nelson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take BRYANT's back instead. BRYANT tries to roll but Nelson sticks to his back.
BRYANT manages to reverse the position and now he's in Nelson's guard. Nice work there by BRYANT.
BRYANT will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nelson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nelson keeping full guard, as BRYANT tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. BRYANT lands a couple of elbows. BRYANT slips nicely into half guard. BRYANT is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson kicks off BRYANT and gets to his feet. BRYANT closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - BRYANT lands in his opponent's guard. BRYANT drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and BRYANT jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nelson keeping full guard, as BRYANT tries to pass. BRYANT drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nelson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nelson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nelson!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson in side control lands a decent elbow. BRYANT is looking for a sweep. BRYANT manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. BRYANT is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Nelson pulls his head out easily. BRYANT is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. BRYANT moves into full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! MARTIN BRYANT showed his dominance in that final round. I think BRYANT has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
