The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schembri fails with a takedown attempt.
Hendricks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Schembri.
Hendricks throws a lazy right hand but Schembri sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hendricks misses with a series of wild punches.
Schembri shoots in for a double leg but Hendricks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Schembri. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hendricks throws a chopping leg kick but Schembri manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Schembri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Schembri gets a takedown into half guard.
Schembri has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Hendricks is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Schembri lands a big elbow.
Hendricks holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Schembri tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Schembri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Schembri looking to ground and pound but Hendricks is blocking nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hendricks is bucking up trying to escape but Schembri cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hendricks is rocked!

Schembri cracks Hendricks with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
