Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Saltalamacchia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Li's choice of entrance music: Summer Song. Chong Li has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mike Saltalamacchia's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saltalamacchia fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Saltalamacchia is looking to take a break and control but Li is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Saltalamacchia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Li as he jumps to the side.
Li misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Saltalamacchia closes the distance and clinches up with Li, looking for a takedown. Saltalamacchia pushes Li against the cage but Li circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Li cracks the inside of Saltalamacchia's front leg.
Li shoots for a double leg takedown but Saltalamacchia sprawls well. He's pushed Li's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Li tries a head kick but it misses.
Li throws a series of punches but Saltalamacchia avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Still in half guard, Saltalamacchia seems content to control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mike Saltalamacchia just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Chong Li showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Saltalamacchia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Chong Li just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Li misses with the combination.

Li throws a sloppy head kick and Saltalamacchia moves out of range easily.
Li lands a slapping body shot.
Li ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and Li holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Li breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Li shoots for a takedown but Saltalamacchia saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Saltalamacchia takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Li misses with a series of wild punches.
Li goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Li fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Li clinches up with Saltalamacchia and pushes him back against the cage.
Saltalamacchia tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Li smiles and moves away.
A bone on bone clash there as Saltalamacchia blocks the leg kick.
Saltalamacchia clinches but Li breaks the clinch

and Li counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Saltalamacchia!

And that's the end of the fight!
Chong Li comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Li has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
