Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Haye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Audet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Audet's choice of entrance music: Kid Rock - Bawitdaba. Kurt Haye has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kurt Haye! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Audet! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Audet misses its intended target. Haye lands a nice shot that snaps Audet's head back.
Audet fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haye sprawls well initially but Audet persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Audet winds up and cracks Haye with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Audet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Haye defending well though. Audet wants to free his trapped foot but Haye is holding on for dear life with his legs. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Haye knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Audet on the ground. Audet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Haye defending well though. Audet has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Haye keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Well, if Audet is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Haye on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Haye tries to get out of the position. Haye avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Audet. Haye wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Haye cracks Audet with a good jab. Haye moves out of range of the strikes. Audet tries a head kick but it misses.
Haye darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Audet misses with a double jab.
Michael Audet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good shot there by Haye. Audet gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Some bone on bone action there as Haye checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Audet tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Haye lands a right hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Audet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Haye tries to avoid it but Audet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Haye to the ground. Haye escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Audet is looking to land body kicks. Audet ducks right into an uppercut from Haye. Kurt Haye is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Haye lunges at Audet with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Audet's hand. Haye blocks a head kick by Audet.

Haye's corner calls for a 1-2. Haye obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. A jab from Haye finds it's way through Audet's defenses. Audet tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haye swats him away and circles back towards the center. Haye is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Audet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Haye lands a nice shot to the body.
Audet looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Audet shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Audet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Audet. Kurt Haye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Audet. Nice jab there from Haye. Haye works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Haye tests Audet's chin there with a solid looking shot. Haye with a hook.

Audet takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Haye lands the left hand. Haye is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Audet walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Audet. Audet takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Haye lands with an overhand left. Haye lands a really nice looking cross but Audet seems unphased.
Audet has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Haye cracks a nice hook into Audet's ribs. Haye is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Haye lands a nice hook to Audet's body. Audet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Haye lands a jab to Audet's midsection. Haye connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Haye wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Haye lands with a cross. Audet on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Audet has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Haye finds it's way round the side to connect with Audet's head. Haye connects with a body shot. Haye smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Audet takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Audet throws a jab but it's blocked by Haye.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haye lands a nice looking body shot.
A left lands for Haye. Haye connects with a single shot there.
Audet is rocked! Audet takes a body punch but keeps moving. Haye lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Audet is still on wobbly legs! Can Haye finish him? Haye throws a monster overhand right that drops Audet! Haye follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurt Haye!
