Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Jaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo The Spider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaldo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jaldo closes the distance and clinches up with The Spider, looking for a takedown. Jaldo pushes The Spider against the cage but The Spider circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by The Spider!
Jaldo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jaldo scoring with punches and elbows. The Spider struggling a bit here. Jaldo working the ground and pound but The Spider is defending the strikes. Jaldo is looking to take a break and control but The Spider is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The strikes coming from Jaldo are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaldo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, The Spider has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jaldo but great work by The Spider. Jaldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jaldo wants to control but The Spider postures up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jaldo sneaks back into half guard. The Spider sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jaldo defending well though. The Spider tries to stand and escape but Jaldo is controlling the position. The Spider not landing any meaningful shots this time. The Spider wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jaldo keeps working. Jaldo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The Spider missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jaldo is trying to get back to full guard. Jaldo is trying to maintain the position but The Spider is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. The Spider closes the distance and clinches. The Spider breaks from the clinch.
The Spider throws a nice looking combination but Jaldo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The Spider stuffs the takedown attempt from Jaldo. Jaldo gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gerald Jaldo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jaldo defending well as The Spider loads up on a big left hand. Jaldo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Spider's guard. The Spider really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jaldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jaldo is breathing heavily. Jaldo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jaldo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Spider works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jaldo stands and throws The Spider's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Spider struggling a bit here. The strikes coming from Jaldo are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Jaldo fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The Spider pushes Jaldo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jaldo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The Spider is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jaldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Spider tries to avoid it but Jaldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Spider to the ground. The Spider escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jaldo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jaldo wants to pass the guard but The Spider is defending well. Jaldo prevents The Spider from standing back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The Spider won't allow Jaldo to pass to mount. Jaldo is trying for a kimura here. The Spider looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Jaldo wins by kimura!
