Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gouge Velouria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piter Kuiper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gouge Velouria had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuiper is looking to clinch.

Velouria shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kuiper is looking for a sweep. Velouria is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Velouria fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kuiper sprawls well initially but Velouria persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Piter Kuiper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuiper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Velouria swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gouge Velouria will probably get the nod.

Kuiper has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Velouria is proving hard to escape from.

Kuiper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Velouria swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gouge Velouria has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piter Kuiper.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kuiper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velouria. That did some damage!

Velouria seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kuiper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
