Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tez Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tez Johnson! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Bob. Johnson taking a breather. Bob is trying to break free. Johnson slows down the pace here.

Bob has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment. Johnson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Bob in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Bob stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bob wants it to stay on the feet. Billy Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob misses with a few strikes there.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bob is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson decides to stand up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Bob. Bob scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bob swinging wildly here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to trip Bob. He has hold of a leg but Bob is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Johnson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Bob is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnson is controlling him. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bob works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Johnson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bob to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tez Johnson dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bob rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bob fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard. Johnson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson gets to his feet. Bob looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bob throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bob throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely. Excellent takedown into side control there by Johnson. Johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson moves into the clinch successfully.

Bob has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Johnson softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bob smiles and moves away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Johnson scores with a nice body kick.

Johnson has taken his back!

Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bob just stands there and leans against the cage. Bob looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Johnson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bob regains guard immediately. Bob being controlled here, momentarily. Bob wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bob is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Johnson gets to his feet - Bob follows without any prompting. Johnson tries for a takedown but Bob sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Billy Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tez Johnson. Bob throws a combination that misses and Johnson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Johnson. Bob wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Johnson is keen to just control but Bob is a slippery customer. Johnson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bob wants to get back to his feet. Tez Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far. Bob tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Johnson manages to move to mount!

And that's the end of the fight! Tez Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
