The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan is looking to clinch but Senkai is avoiding it.
Senkai shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ryan wants to control but Senkai is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Senkai.
Senkai lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ryan gets back to full guard.
Senkai keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ryan's head.
Ryan looking for a sweep. Not yet Ryan, not yet.
Ryan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Senkai!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan wants to control the pace but Senkai is squirming around nicely.

Ryan misses with a head shot.
Ryan trying to control but he's not successful this time.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ryan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Senkai is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Ryan looking to ground and pound but Senkai is blocking nicely.

Senkai tries to reverse the position but Ryan maintains control.

Senkai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
