Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hal Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laurent comes to the cage accompanied by Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill lands with a right hand.
Some wild striking there from Hill.
Laurent tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hill paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Laurent tries to clinch but Hill moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laurent throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Laurent shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hill defends it nicely.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Laurent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laurent's waist but Laurent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hill off to one side.
Hill throws a combination that misses
and Laurent counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Hill counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Laurent but Laurent pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Laurent tries to close the distance and clinch but Hill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Laurent misses with a takedown
and Hill counters with a nice double leg into side control. Laurent won't be happy with that.
Laurent sneaks back into half guard.
Hill wants to free his trapped foot but Laurent is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hill in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Laurent tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hill!
