Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Puukko Punkkari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niall William Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niall William Quinn told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Puukko Punkkari! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Niall William Quinn! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quinn swinging wildly here.
Punkkari shoots in but no luck this time. Punkkari throws a leg kick but Quinn sees it coming and moves out of range. Punkkari tries to clinch up. Quinn blocks a head kick by Punkkari.
Punkkari throws a half hearted mid kick. Quinn throws a right and a left that Punkkari avoids nicely. Punkkari misses with a takedown attempt - Quinn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quinn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Quinn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quinn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quinn wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Puukko Punkkari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Punkkari is breathing heavily. Quinn throws a nice looking combination but Punkkari bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Quinn cracks Punkkari with a good jab. Quinn looks to land a left hand but Punkkari moved out of range nicely. Punkkari tries to clinch but Quinn moves out of range. Punkkari shoots for a double leg takedown but Quinn sprawls well. He's pushed Punkkari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Punkkari slips a straight right by Quinn. Punkkari shoots in looking for a takedown. Quinn tries to sprawl out of it but Punkkari keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quinn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Quinn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Punkkari circles away quickly and effectively. Puukko Punkkari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quinn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Punkkari at a distance.
Punkkari takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Punkkari bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Quinn comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Punkkari falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Punkkari was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Niall William Quinn! Niall William Quinn retains his heavyweight title!
