Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Monroe Hutchin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keijo Kustavilainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monroe Hutchin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monroe Hutchin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keijo Kustavilainen! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hutchin wants to clinch up but Kustavilainen keeps it at a distance. Hutchin slips a jab and a cross from Kustavilainen.
Keijo Kustavilainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kustavilainen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hutchin's waist but Hutchin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kustavilainen off to one side. Kustavilainen looks for a takedown but Hutchin sprawls well. Kustavilainen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kustavilainen lands in his opponent's guard. Hutchin pulls Kustavilainen in close to prevent any damage. Kustavilainen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kustavilainen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kustavilainen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kustavilainen trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hutchin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kustavilainen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hutchin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hutchin wanted to stand there but Kustavilainen had control of the position. Kustavilainen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hutchin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kustavilainen. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kustavilainen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kustavilainen actively working from the bottom here. Kustavilainen looks gassed! Hutchin wants to stand but Kustavilainen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kustavilainen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hutchin stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Kustavilainen throws a sloppy head kick and Hutchin moves out of range easily. Hutchin tries to clinch up. Hutchin moves away from the strike by Kustavilainen. Kustavilainen closes the distance and clinches up with Hutchin, looking for a takedown. Kustavilainen pushes Hutchin against the cage but Hutchin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Monroe Hutchin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keijo Kustavilainen. Kustavilainen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hutchin is looking for a sweep. Hutchin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Hutchin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kustavilainen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kustavilainen's back! Kustavilainen can't escape the position.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hutchin's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hutchin is on top in guard.

Kustavilainen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hutchin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hutchin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kustavilainen is working an open guard so Hutchin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hutchin tries to clinch but Kustavilainen is having none of it. Hutchin doesn't manage to clinch there - Kustavilainen circles away.
Kustavilainen dives in and grabs Hutchin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hutchin pushes down on Kustavilainen's head and hops out.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hutchin looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kustavilainen swings for the body but Hutchin moves out of range.

Hutchin wants to stand but Kustavilainen is controlling his posture from full guard. Hutchin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hutchin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kustavilainen on the ground. Kustavilainen wants to sweep but no luck.

Kustavilainen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hutchin has his hands clasped together but Kustavilainen extends an breaks Hutchin's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kustavilainen.
