Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nylle Geighmun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jung Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim has chosen Crash by Fit for Rivals as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nylle Geighmun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jung Sung Kim!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geighmun shoots in but Kim avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Geighmun.

Kim closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kim lands in his opponent's guard.
Kim slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Kim looking to pass the guard.
Geighmun keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully.
Kim pushes down on Geighmun's leg and manages to get into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Geighmun wants to improve his position but Kim is controlling well.
Kim tries to pass the half guard into mount. Geighmun knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Geighmun is not content to let Kim control the position.
Geighmun wants to get back to full guard.
Kim is thwarting Geighmun's attempts to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Geighmun gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kim counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nylle Geighmun. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Geighmun is in trouble now - Kim has advanced to mount!

Kim is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Geighmun to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Geighmun shrugs it off.

Kim content just to control the position here.
Kim throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Geighmun because Kim loaded up on that one.
Geighmun wants to control but Kim is having none of it.
Geighmun can't escape the position.
Geighmun is breathing heavily.
Geighmun holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kim tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Geighmun really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Geighmun defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kim.

Kim throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kim with the ground and pound from mount.
Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Geighmun avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kim.
Kim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Geighmun blocking the ground and pound.
Kim looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Poor strikes thrown by Kim there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Geighmun tries to hold on but Kim pushes him away.
Geighmun working to try and regain half guard.
Kim wants to control the pace but Geighmun is squirming around nicely.
Geighmun is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jung Sung Kim dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kim attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Geighmun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kim.
Geighmun tries to clinch up

and Kim counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Geighmun's guard now.
Geighmun trying to keep a closed guard but Kim is proving a slippery customer.
Kim won't allow Geighmun to sweep him here.
Geighmun will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kim looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Kim thows a big elbow that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Geighmun tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kim trying to control but Geighmun is working from the bottom.
Geighmun is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kim dives into side control.
Geighmun gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Geighmun is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kim trying to control but he's not successful this time.
A nice elbow there by Kim.
Kim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Kim working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Geighmun turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Kim off and cradles Geighmun's limp body as Kim celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jung Sung Kim!
