Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Kenny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miles Long!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Long misses with a double jab.
Kenny throws a hook but Long blocks it.
Long on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Long misses with a wild combination.
Kenny on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Long. Long obviously looking to wear him down.
Long changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kenny tries to avoid it but Long manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kenny to the ground. Kenny escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Long tries to move into range but Kenny moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Long throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kenny lands a jab to Long's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Long tries to bum rush Kenny with a series of wild strikes but Kenny uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kenny shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Long sprawls well. Long wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kenny gets slowly back to his feet.
Kenny connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Kenny shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kenny showed some decent athleticism there.

Kenny stalling.
Long is trying to get back to full guard.
Kenny is nestled in close to Long, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kenny tries to pass the half guard into mount. Long knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Long trying to hold on to Kenny's head to control him but Kenny postures up.
Long is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kenny working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Long keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Long tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Well, if Kenny is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kenny prevents Long from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long trying to control here.
Kenny moves into full mount! Long won't be happy about that!

Long regains half guard.
Long wants to get back to full guard.
Kenny with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kenny working Long over with strikes.
Long manages to get to full guard.
Long is trying to keep Kenny in close.

Kenny looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Kenny trying to control the position from guard on top but Long is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kenny is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Long is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Kenny distracts Long with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kenny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Long swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Long is trying to keep Kenny in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Kenny dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kenny thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice shot lands for Kenny.


It looks like Miles Long has been cut.
A slow jab from Kenny misses its intended target.
Kenny swats away the attempt to clinch by Long.
Long uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kenny.
Kenny misses the jab.
Long lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kenny circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck for Kenny with that takedown attempt.
Long tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A big left from Kenny misses.
Kenny connects with a good right hand that stumbles Long. Long circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Long blocks a jab.

Long lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kenny is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Kenny shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kenny showed some decent athleticism there.
Long has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kenny is working away from the top position though.
Long is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kenny's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kenny's back!
Kenny covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Kenny is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Long has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Kenny breaks Long's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Long throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kenny trying to control the position from guard on top but Long is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kenny scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Long trying to control the position.

Long wants to sweep here but Kenny controlling him for the moment.
Kenny stands up over Long, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Long looking for subs off his back but Kenny has passed one foot through into half guard.
Long is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kenny jumps into side control!
Kenny lands an elbow.
Kenny wants to lay and pray for a moment but Long keeps working.
Kenny is working Long over with some ground and pound from side control.
You can see the frustration on Long's face as Kenny controls the position.
Long tries to improve position but can't.
Long is trying to control Kenny's posture but Kenny avoids it.
Kenny has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kenny in side control lands a decent elbow.


Long is rocked!


That has opened up Miles Long's cut even more.
Kenny working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Long is still in real trouble! Can Kenny finish him?


The cut above Miles Long's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Kenny scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Long is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kenny can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Kenny!
