Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jose carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Ryabchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anton Ryabchenko was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - carlos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Ryabchenko.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

carlos is not content to let Ryabchenko control the position.
Ryabchenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. carlos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ryabchenko is looking to take a break and control but carlos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
carlos is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ryabchenko has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Ryabchenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. carlos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

carlos pushes Ryabchenko away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ryabchenko gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ryabchenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. carlos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ryabchenko.

Ryabchenko is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
carlos is trying to stand up here but Ryabchenko is controlling him well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
carlos wants to control but Ryabchenko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ryabchenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. carlos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ryabchenko.

carlos wants to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
carlos checks a leg kick.
carlos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ryabchenko drives through and clinches with carlos against the cage.
carlos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ryabchenko walks away with a smile on his face. carlos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ryabchenko misses with a wild combination.
Ryabchenko tries for a takedown but carlos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
carlos darts in trying to clinch
and Ryabchenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ryabchenko wants to land a leg kick but carlos is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
carlos fails with an attempt to clinch.
carlos tries to clinch up
and Ryabchenko counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryabchenko prevents carlos from improving his position.
carlos actively working from the bottom here.
Ryabchenko stands up from half guard.
carlos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ryabchenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
carlos leaves Ryabchenko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
carlos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ryabchenko.
jose carlos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Ryabchenko.

and Ryabchenko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ryabchenko.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ryabchenko is sitting in close to carlos's body. carlos has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ryabchenko is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ryabchenko is tapping! That was a very nice submission by carlos.
