Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Blachovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Roger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Roger looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Blachovich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerry Roger!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blachovich sprawls well. Blachovich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roger gets slowly back to his feet.
Blachovich fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roger avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Roger.
Blachovich doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Roger counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Roger passes Blachovich's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Roger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Roger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jerry Roger just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

John Blachovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Roger.

Roger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blachovich keeps working.

Blachovich has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roger is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Roger in particular looking to stall.

Blachovich changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Blachovich misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Roger is looking to reverse the position.

Blachovich has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Blachovich bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roger's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roger wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Blachovich is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Roger looks calm but he's in trouble here. Blachovich gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Roger is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Blachovich lets go of the hold and Roger can pop his arm back in it's socket.
