The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayabusa darts in and clinches Thunderclap up against the cage.
Thunderclap is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thunderclap stalling.
Hayabusa lands an elbow inside that Thunderclap shrugs off.


It looks like Tank Thunderclap has been cut.
Hayabusa tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Thunderclap avoids it.
Hayabusa missing with knees to the body.
Thunderclap jumps guard but Hayabusa stands there with Thunderclap around his waist. Thunderclap gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hayabusa lands an elbow inside.
Hayabusa slows down the pace here.
Thunderclap blocks an uppercut.
Thunderclap being controlled against the cage.
Hayabusa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thunderclap's efforts to push away.
Thunderclap tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hayabusa just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tank Thunderclap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hayabusa creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thunderclap's defenses.
Hayabusa scores with a hook to the body.
Hayabusa lands a good knee to the midsection. Thunderclap won't want to take too many of those.
Hayabusa throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Thunderclaps head.
Hayabusa lands an elbow just above Thunderclap 's eye.


Tank Thunderclap's cut is getting worse.
Thunderclap takes an elbow to the forehead.
Thunderclap is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hayabusa softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.


Tank Thunderclap's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hayabusa lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Thunderclap tries to pull guard but Hayabusa holds him up against the cage and eventually Thunderclap drops back down to his feet.
Hayabusa presses Thunderclap against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Thunderclap is breathing heavily.
Thunderclap takes a shot to the head.


Jeez, Tank Thunderclap's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tank Thunderclap's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ryu Hayabusa!
