Man swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mendez dips to his left and cracks Man with an uppercut!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Man.

Mendez walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Man checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Man throws a strike aimed at the side of Mendez's head but Mendez avoids it well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Man decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mendez to his feet.

Man uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mendez has time to react.
Mendez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Man darts in and clinches Mendez up against the ropes.
Mendez wants to get back to striking at distance but Man won't allow it.
A nice right hand lands inside from Man.
Mendez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A frustrated look appears on Mendez's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Man is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Man scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Man is trying to control. Mendez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
