Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anderson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teddy Bear!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Bear pushes him off.
Silva is looking to clinch but Bear is avoiding it.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bear scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Bear is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.
Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
Silva is trying to stand back up but Bear is controlling him

Bear is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.
Silva wants to control but Bear is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bear is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Bear eventually gives up the hold.

Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Bear.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bear decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bear is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.

Silva wants to get back to full guard.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bear is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bear drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bear struggling a bit here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Bear dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Silva fails with the takedown

and Bear counters with a takedown into side control.

Bear wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.
Silva is looking for a sweep.

Bear thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bear goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bear but great work by Silva.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bear wants to control but Silva postures up.
Silva wants to stand but Bear has his arm trapped.
Bear regains half guard.
Silva wants to stand but Bear has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Bear preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva trying to control from half guard but Bear is working away.
Bear trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Bear keeping control of the position.
Silva wants to stand up but Bear is controlling the position.
Bear wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bear darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva wants to control but Bear is keeping busy.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard.
Silva is looking to escape.

Bear is working for a kimura but Silva is defending it quite comfortably.

Bear is trying to work for a kimura but Silva is defending well.

Bear looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silva is not content to let Bear control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Silva tries to clinch but Bear moves away

and Bear counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
Silva wants to improve his position but instead Bear has moved into half guard.
Silva is staying active underneath Bear, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bear wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bear tries to pass the half guard into mount. Silva knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bear is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position.
Bear passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Silva tries to improve his position but instead Bear has taken his back!

Bear is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Silva is defending well though. Bear let's go of the attempt for now.
Will Bear go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Bear is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Silva turns into Bear and is now in his guard.
Silva trying to control but Bear is working from the bottom.

Bear looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.

Bear keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bear has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Bear's legs - danger averted.
Bear looking for a sweep. Not yet Bear, not yet.

Bear has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bear.
Bear tries to improve position but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bear can't do much from the bottom here.
Bear is trying to get back to half guard.
Silva working away.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bear keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Bear's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Anderson Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Teddy Bear is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Bear moves out of range easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Teddy Bear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
