Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Fighting Baby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ronnie Robinson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robinson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baby as he jumps to the side. Robinson looks for a takedown but Baby sprawls well. Baby works Robinson's body with a nice hook. Robinson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fighting Baby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie Robinson. Baby fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Baby stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Robinson shoots in and drives through. Baby sprawls well. Baby lands with a straight right. Robinson didn't see that one coming. Robinson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Baby catches Robinson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Baby with a poor takedown and Robinson counters with a single leg into guard. Baby didn't expect that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robinson is looking to work some ground and pound but Baby has wrist control. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baby is defended easily by Robinson. Robinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Robinson has his takedown stuffed and Baby counters with a two punch combo. Robinson fails to land the takedown. Nice jab there from Baby.

Robinson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Baby's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Baby thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Robinson to regain full guard. Robinson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baby manages to get himself to full guard.

Robinson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baby does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Robinson throwing shots but Baby is blocking nicely. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Baby dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Baby doesn't succeed with the takedown and Robinson counters with a single leg into guard. Baby didn't expect that. Robinson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Robinson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A close round but Ronnie Robinson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Robinson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Baby trying to control but Robinson postures up.
Robinson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Baby doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Robinson. Robinson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Robinson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robinson thows a huge punch but Baby dodges it nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Robinson ducks right into an uppercut from Baby. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Baby!

Robinson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Baby with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Robinson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Robinson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Baby sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Robinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Baby keeps working. Baby can't do much from the bottom here. Robinson throws an elbow but Baby slips to the side and avoids it well. Ronnie Robinson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A lull in the action here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Robinson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Baby's shoulder. That is not cool. Robinson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The strikes coming from Robinson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fighting Baby has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! You can see the frustration on Baby's face as Robinson controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ronnie Robinson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Robinson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
