Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tray Denney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Okan Topal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Denney might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to chasing the rapture. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Okan Topal! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Denney fails to land the takedown. Topal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Denney not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Denney throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Topal with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Denney managing to control the position. Topal trying to control the position from guard on top but Denney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Denney looking to control.
Topal drops back, looking for a kneebar! Denney looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Denney looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Denney!
That's one minute gone in the round. Topal managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Denney.
Denney swings around for an armbar but Topal sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Denney's guard. Denney thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Topal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Denney is proving hard to escape from. Topal content to stall in guard here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Topal wants to control from the top but Denney keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Denney working a defensive guard here.
Denney throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Topal stops Denney from standing up. Topal looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Denney with a lazy takedown attempt and Topal counters by clinching up. Denney is breathing heavily. Topal has clasped his hands together around Denney's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Denney tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Topal takes a little break here. Denney wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Denney is pushing Topal's head away, looking to escape. Topal manages to hold on to the position though. Topal stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Topal closes the distance and clinches. A battle for position here, against the cage. Denney has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Topal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tray Denney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Topal has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Denney is trying to keep an underhook but Topal manages to get the takedown into half guard. Denney looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Topal is taking a breather. Denney says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Okan Topal dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Topal shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Denney counters by moving into the clinch. Topal gets control of Denney's arms and successfully pulls guard. Topal will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Denney tries to free his leg and advance position but Topal is retaining full guard. Topal looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Denney stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Topal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Topal is trying to keep Denney in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Denney trying to control the position from guard on top but Topal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Topal trying to control the position here. Topal trying to keep a closed guard but Denney is proving a slippery customer.
Denney looking to pass the guard. Topal is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Denney tries to clinch but fails miserably and Topal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Denney's guard. Denney controls Topal momentarily but Topal frees himself. Topal is looking to work some ground and pound but Denney has wrist control. Topal not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Denney keeping moving, preventing Topal from controlling successfully. Topal is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Topal wants to stand but Denney has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Topal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Denney throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Denney tries to clinch up and Topal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Denney won't be happy with that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Denney's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Denney gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Denney tries to hold on but Topal postures up. Denney is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Topal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Denney is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Okan Topal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Topal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Topal sitting in guard here, content to control. Topal trying to control but Denney is working from the bottom. Topal won't allow Denney to sweep him here. Topal wants to control from the top but Denney keeps moving. Okan Topal has got the better of the ground game so far.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Topal is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Denney is trying to keep Topal in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Topal is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Denney is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Topal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Topal thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Topal's corner is telling him to maintain position. Denney trying to strike off his back.
Topal prevents Denney from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Topal closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Denney to the mat! Denney manages to get full guard. Denney is trying to control the position but Topal postures up. Denney keeping moving, preventing Topal from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Denney uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Tray Denney is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Denney doesn't succeed with the takedown and Topal counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Topal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Topal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Denney has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Topal has managed to get both his arms back between Denney's legs - danger averted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Denney is adopting a defensive guard. Tray Denney has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Okan Topal is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Topal showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Okan Topal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Topal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
