Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fergus McDugan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crocodile Dandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dandy has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fergus McDugan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crocodile Dandy! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDugan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dandy. Dandy looks gassed! Dandy tries to clinch but McDugan moves out of range. Dandy tries to clinch but McDugan moves out of range. Dandy doesn't manage to clinch there - McDugan circles away.
McDugan cracks the inside of Dandy's front leg. Nice takedown defense from Dandy. No joy for McDugan on that attempt. McDugan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. McDugan is trying to control. Dandy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. McDugan not doing much here.

McDugan is really struggling to control Dandy but he's trying to hold on to the position. McDugan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Fergus McDugan just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. McDugan has managed to clinch.
McDugan is struggling to control the position. McDugan wants a takedown.
Dandy is trying to maintain a safe position but McDugan gets an underhook and turns Dandy into the cage. McDugan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McDugan manages to end up in side control. McDugan wants to control but Dandy is keeping him busy. McDugan moves into full mount! Dandy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDugan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McDugan controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDugan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dandy looks a forlorn figure.
McDugan controlling from the full mount. Dandy is squirming around, avoiding McDugan's attempts to control the action. McDugan working away from the top, dropping strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McDugan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. McDugan lands a left and a right that send Dandy crashing to the mat, dazed. McDugan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Crocodile Dandy has been cut. Dandy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McDugan. McDugan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McDugan looking to control but Dandy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. McDugan lands with some strikes. Dandy avoids a series of strikes thrown by McDugan.
Dandy is breathing heavily. McDugan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dandy taking shots to the head. McDugan thowing shots but they're missing. McDugan controlling the pace for now. McDugan tries to control but Dandy wriggling away. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McDugan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
McDugan throws some wild stikes that Dandy manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDugan wants to finish this one by submission but Dandy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McDugan. McDugan looking to control but Dandy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. McDugan content just to control the position here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Fergus McDugan just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Dandy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fergus McDugan. That's going to take a lot out of him. McDugan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. McDugan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McDugan lands in his opponent's guard. McDugan trying to control but Dandy is working from the bottom. Fergus McDugan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McDugan scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDugan with a flurry of punches that miss. McDugan stands and steps away. Dandy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. McDugan clinches with his opponent.
McDugan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McDugan shoots in and drives through. Dandy sprawls well. McDugan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Dandy at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McDugan connects with a high kick. McDugan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dandy, pushing him back against the cage. McDugan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McDugan moves into range and clinches up with Dandy. McDugan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McDugan shoots for a double leg takedown but Dandy sprawls well. He's pushed McDugan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McDugan throws a nice head kick!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McDugan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fergus McDugan dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Crocodile Dandy's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Crocodile Dandy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDugan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dandy avoids it really well and circles away. McDugan fails to land the takedown. Dandy wants to clinch and McDugan counters with a three punch combo that has Dandy backing up. Dandy nods at McDugan to acknowledge the strikes. Dandy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McDugan. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McDugan scores with a head kick.
Dandy looks to clinch and McDugan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McDugan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dandy keeping moving, preventing McDugan from controlling successfully. McDugan sitting in guard here, content to control. McDugan advances to half guard. Dandy is refusing to be controlled, as McDugan sits in half guard. Dandy taking some punishment here, with McDugan in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McDugan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDugan tries to pass to full mount but Dandy defends it. McDugan passes to full mount! McDugan lands a big shot there that rocks Dandy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
McDugan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. McDugan trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dandy is in a horrible position here. McDugan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDugan wants to control the pace but Dandy is squirming around nicely. McDugan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dandy because McDugan loaded up on that one. Fergus McDugan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McDugan controlling his opponent. McDugan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dandy is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McDugan has control of Dandy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dandy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
McDugan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Crocodile Dandy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McDugan breaks from Dandy's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that's the end of the fight! Fergus McDugan showed his dominance in that final round. Well McDugan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
