Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Silvain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro De La Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silvain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Slipknot - Spit It Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alejandro De La Souza!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvain closes the distance and clinches up with De La Souza, looking for a takedown. Silvain pushes De La Souza against the cage but De La Souza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
De La Souza defending well as Silvain loads up on a big left hand.
De La Souza misses the shot to the body.
De La Souza fails in his attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from De La Souza.
Silvain misses with an attempted mid kick.
Silvain tries to close the distance and clinch but De La Souza swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silvain misses with a takedown attempt - De La Souza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

De La Souza throws a low kick, looking for Silvain's leg but Silvain calmly moves out of range.
Silvain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Silvain has closed the distance and engaged De La Souza in a clinch.

Silvain has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics De La Souza uses from the top position.

Silvain pushes De La Souza off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Silvain ducks down and throws a hook to the body but De La Souza moves away.

De La Souza fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silvain, pushing him back against the cage.
De La Souza is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Silvain throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Silvain using the Thai plumb to throw knees but De La Souza has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

and De La Souza counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

De La Souza tries a head kick but it misses.
A head kick from De La Souza lands but Silvain takes it in his stride.

De La Souza tries to score with a low kick but Silvain moves his leg out of the way.
Silvain moves out of range as De La Souza throws a body kick.

Silvain blocks a head kick by De La Souza.
Silvain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silvain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Silvain throwing strikes here but De La Souza is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Silvain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De La Souza is looking to escape.
De La Souza is desperately trying to improve his position but Silvain has a good base and remains in mount.

Silvain lands a big shot there that rocks De La Souza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
It looks like Alejandro De La Souza has been cut.
De La Souza is looking to get to half guard.
Silvain thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if De La Souza can do anything to dispel that myth.

That has opened up Alejandro De La Souza's cut even more.
Silvain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silvain is working for a guillotine from mount but De La Souza frees his head quite easily.
