Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Toniboi Ydel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathaniel Tabares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tabares is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: your a jerk. Toniboi Ydel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toniboi Ydel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathaniel Tabares! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ydel shoots in but Tabares avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ydel throws the kick towards the body but Tabares avoids it. Tabares tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ydel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tabares keeps the fight on the outside. Ydel shoots in looking for a takedown. Tabares tries to sprawl out of it but Ydel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tabares manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ydel darts in trying to clinch and Tabares counters with a shoot takedown. Ydel fights it but they end up in guard. Tabares looking to pass the guard. Ydel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ydel trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tabares gets to his feet - Ydel follows without any prompting. Ydel swinging wildly here.
Tabares scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Tabares wants to free his trapped foot but Ydel is holding on for dear life with his legs. Ydel misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Tabares looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ydel tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Tabares manages to move to mount!
Tabares tries to control but Ydel wriggling away. A nice elbow there by Tabares.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tabares wants to control the pace but Ydel is squirming around nicely. Tabares sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Ydel is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ydel is working to get back to half guard.
Tabares is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ydel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tabares content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tabares trying to control but Ydel is having none of it. Tabares controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathaniel Tabares dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Tabares shoots for a takedown but Ydel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ydel tries to bum rush Tabares with a series of wild strikes but Tabares uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tabares takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Ydel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tabares sprawls well. Tabares wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ydel gets slowly back to his feet. Ydel closes the distance and pushes Tabares back into the cage. Ydel breaks the clinch.
Tabares fails with the takedown and Ydel counters with a takedown into side control. Tabares is breathing heavily. Tabares sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ydel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tabares defends it well. Tabares is looking to improve his position.
Ydel trying to control from half guard but Tabares is working away. Ydel wants to stand up but Tabares has a hold of him and won't allow it. Ydel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tabares is desperately trying to improve his position but Ydel has a good base and remains in mount. Ydel landing punches. Ydel lands a heavy elbow. Tabares in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Ydel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tabares is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ydel trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tabares sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ydel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ydel uses his free foot to push down on Tabares's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tabares. Tabares really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ydel trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ydel is really struggling to control Tabares but he's trying to hold on to the position. Tabares really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ydel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ydel working Tabares over with strikes here. Ydel tries to control but Tabares wriggling away. Ydel breaks from Tabares's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ydel wants to control the pace but Tabares is squirming around nicely. Tabares is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ydel looking to control but Tabares is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toniboi Ydel dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tabares feints and as Ydel raises his hands in defense, Tabares changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ydel working for submissions but it's allowed Tabares to get to half guard.
Ydel is looking to get back to is feet but Tabares passes into side control.
Ydel is not content to let Tabares control the position. You can see the frustration on Ydel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tabares decides to stand back up. Ydel tries to close the distance and clinch but Tabares swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tabares shoots in for a double leg but Ydel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tabares with a poor takedown and Ydel counters with a single leg into guard. Tabares didn't expect that. Tabares keeping moving, preventing Ydel from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ydel controls from within his opponent's guard. Tabares throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tabares can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ydel controls the pace. Ydel wants to stand but Tabares has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tabares looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tabares is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ydel defends well. Ydel wants to control from the top but Tabares keeps moving. Tabares avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tabares manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ydel manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tabares trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ydel pulls Tabares in close to prevent any damage. Tabares won't allow Ydel to sweep him here. Tabares working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Tabares advances position into side control! Tabares stands up and beckons Ydel to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nathaniel Tabares. I think Tabares has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
