Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Lavelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frade Francke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frade Francke has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Chris Lavelle's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Lavelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frade Francke !
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Francke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Francke is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lavelle has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lavelle is defending against the submission attempts here by Francke .
Lavelle trying to hold on to Francke 's head to control him but Francke postures up.

Francke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lavelle pushes Francke off looking to stand but Francke dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lavelle wants to try and get back to his feet.

Francke has hold of Lavelle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lavelle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Francke avoids the attempt from Lavelle to control.

Francke moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lavelle has worked his arm free - good work by Lavelle!
Francke looks gassed!

Francke thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Francke works to advance to full mount. Lavelle defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Francke is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lavelle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lavelle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Francke looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Lavelle slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Lavelle wants to control but Francke is keeping busy.
Lavelle wants to get back to full guard.
Lavelle won't allow Francke to pass to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Francke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lavelle sees it coming and defends easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Good leg kick by Lavelle there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Francke drives through with a takedown into guard.

Francke is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Francke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lavelle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Francke has managed to get both his arms back between Lavelle's legs - danger averted.

Francke is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lavelle has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Francke jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lavelle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lavelle and Francke has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Lavelle stops Francke from passing to mount.

Francke goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lavelle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Francke but great work by Lavelle.
Lavelle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Francke keeps working.
Francke is looking to reverse the position.

Lavelle is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Francke has escaped the position, nice work there.
Francke gets back to half guard.
Frade Francke has got the better of the ground game so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Francke wants to get back to full guard.

Francke looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lavelle thows a body shot but no joy.

Francke shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Francke was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lavelle wants to hold on but Francke pushes him away.

Francke looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Lavelle tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frade Francke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Francke feints and as Lavelle raises his hands in defense, Francke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Francke seems to be working for a kimura but Lavelle defends the submission attempt.

Francke is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lavelle is just riding it out for now. Francke eventually gives up the hold.

Francke has control of Lavelle's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lavelle regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lavelle tries to hold on but Francke postures up.

Francke is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lavelle to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lavelle shrugs it off.

Francke jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lavelle is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lavelle and Francke has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Frade Francke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I've got Francke winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
