The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slootweg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Odenkirk pinned against the cage. Odenkirk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Odenkirk looks to land a combination but Slootweg avoids it well.
Odenkirk throws out a leg kick but Slootweg moves out of range and Odenkirk only half commits.
Odenkirk throws a right and a left that Slootweg avoids nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Odenkirk throws a nice looking combination but Slootweg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Odenkirk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slootweg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Odenkirk lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cross Odenkirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round but I would say that Olaf Slootweg will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Odenkirk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slootweg moves away.

Odenkirk throws the kick towards the body but Slootweg avoids it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slootweg seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Odenkirk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cross Odenkirk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Odenkirk throws an overhand right that lands on Slootweg's shoulder, as Slootweg tries to avoid the shot.
Odenkirk throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Odenkirk moves in looking to clinch but Slootweg pushes him off.
Odenkirk throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Slootweg on the side of the head.

Odenkirk is concentrating on defense, preventing Slootweg from advancing position.
Slootweg is taking a breather. Odenkirk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odenkirk is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Slootweg slips a nice elbow through Odenkirk's hands, connecting with Odenkirk's forehead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Olaf Slootweg.
I think Slootweg has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
