Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean McPump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean McPump has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ryu Sakurai's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McPump can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sakurai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Sakurai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McPump lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
McPump swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

McPump cracks the inside of Sakurai's front leg.
McPump stalks Sakurai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sakurai's face. Sakurai staggers backwards, shaken.
Sakurai takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryu Sakurai will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Sakurai remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sakurai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
