Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eamon Dunphy!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Dunphy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dunphy shoots for a double leg takedown but Lee sprawls well. He's pushed Dunphy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dunphy blocks the body kick.
Eamon Dunphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Dunphy pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dunphy.
Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eamon Dunphy.
Lee attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Dunphy forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lee just misses with a elbow thrown towards Dunphy's brow.
Dunphy takes an elbow to the forehead.
Dunphy on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lee tries to land knees in the clinch but Dunphy avoids the damage to the body.
Lee tries to land a knee to the head but Dunphy blocks with his arms.
Dunphy is trying to drag Lee to the mat but Lee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lee connects with a knee to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dunphy lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Dunphy trying to control the pace.
Lee wants to get back to full guard but Dunphy has mounted him!

Dunphy is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lee has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Dunphy looking for a guillotine from mount but Lee is having none of it.
Dunphy looks gassed!
Lee is desperately trying to improve his position but Dunphy has a good base and remains in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dunphy is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lee is surviving well by controlling Dunphy's body position as best he can.
Dunphy with shots to the head and body - Lee looks very uncomfortable down there.
Lee is in a horrible position here. Dunphy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Dunphy landing strikes from the mount and Lee is in trouble!
Lee is looking to get to half guard.
Lee is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Dunphy trying to control but Lee is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dunphy is landing with some decent strikes but Lee is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lee is squirming around, avoiding Dunphy's attempts to control the action.

Dunphy moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lee has worked his arm free - good work by Lee!
Lee is trying to improve his position.

Dunphy stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dunphy scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Dunphy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lee has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dunphy but great work by Lee.
Lee cracks Dunphy with a big elbow.
Dunphy wants to control but Lee postures up.
Dunphy manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Dunphy is working for a submission of some sort.
Lee is not content to let Dunphy control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eamon Dunphy dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lee turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Dunphy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dunphy trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dunphy drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Dunphy seems to have locked his on tight now - Lee screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Dunphy, as he picks up the win!
